Editing Teams via CSV File

Efficiently update team membership and roles in bulk by uploading a CSV file to add, update, or replace members across one or more teams.

With a Gallup Access subscription, you can upload a CSV file to make multiple team member and role changes to one or more teams at once. This is very useful if you are working with a large team, need to make significant changes to a team or want to update multiple teams at once.

Note: The CSV file for editing teams uses the same format and fields for creating teams.

  1. Select Upload File from the More drop-down list on the upper-right corner of the Teams page.

  2. In the Select File Upload Option window, select one of the following options:

    Add and Update Members
    Add to the team those members in the file who are not currently on the team, and update the roles for members in the file who match those currently on the team.

    Replace Members by Role
    Replace members currently on the team who have a specific role (i.e., Member, Owner or Delegate) with those in the file.

  3. In the Upload File window, click Choose File to select your CSV file. Then click Upload File.

    Note: If you chose to replace team members, select the role of the members you want to replace. For example, if you want to replace all team members who have the Member role with those in the CSV file, select Member.

  4. A message will appear on the Teams page indicating that Gallup Access is processing the file. Please allow some time for the process to complete. When it is done, the Teams page will refresh and display your updated team(s).
