Share CliftonStrengths, accept requests, view reports, compare strengths, export data and create team grids.
The Connections tab consists of the following subtabs:
Your Organization Connections
Lists the names and top five strengths of individuals in your organization, allowing you to search, view and compare CliftonStrengths.
Note: Access to this subtab requires a Gallup Access subscription.
Your Personal Connections
Lists the names and top five strengths of individuals sharing their CliftonStrengths with you.

The Your Personal Connections subtab also consists of its own set of subtabs:

Connection Requests
Lists unaccepted connection requests you have received from others.
Sent Requests
Lists unaccepted connection requests you have sent to others.
Note: Individuals you connect with on the Your Personal Connections subtab can be anyone, such as friends or family. They are not restricted to those in the organization or those with access to the Gallup Access client, and they do not gain access to the client or organizational data.
Use the Connections tab to:
- Share your strengths
- Accept a connection request
- View someone's report
- Compare your strengths
- Export multiple individuals' strengths
- Create a team and Team Grid
Share Your Strengths
The following applies to the Your Personal Connections subtab for sharing your strengths with anyone.

If the person you want to share your strengths with is already sharing theirs with you, click Share Back in their corresponding row on the Connections subtab. If they are not already sharing their strengths, click Share CliftonStrengths at the top of the page.

Share CliftonStrengths option -
If the individual is not already sharing their strengths with you, type their email address in the Recipient’s Email Address field. Then click Share.
Note: To share your strengths with multiple individuals, type each of their email addresses (10 maximum) separated with a semicolon.

Share Your CliftonStrengths window - The individual will receive your request on their Connection Requests subtab and an invitation email from Gallup. If they accept, they can view your CliftonStrengths and associated reports, and their name appears on your Connections subtab. You will also receive an email confirming their acceptance.
Note: To stop sharing your CliftonStrengths with someone, select Manage Sharing from their More Options menu (⁝) on the Connections subtab.
Accept a Connection Request
When you accept someone's connection request, Gallup also shares your CliftonStrengths with the other person. If you don't want to share your strengths with them, select Manage Sharing from their More Options menu (⁝) on the Your Personal Connections subtab.
Note: You can turn off automatic strengths sharing via the Edit Profile section of your My Account page, which you can access by clicking the account symbol (
) on the upper-right corner of the page.

Select the Connection Requests subtab to view all connection requests you have received.

Click Accept to approve an individual's request and view their strengths on the Your Personal Connections subtab.
Note: If the individual has not completed the CliftonStrengths assessment, their strengths are unavailable until they have completed it.
View Someone's Report
To view or download an individual's CliftonStrengths report, click their View Reports button, and then select the report.

Compare Your Strengths
To compare your CliftonStrengths with someone else, select Compare from their More Options menu (⁝) if they are on the Your Personal Connections subtab, or click their Compare button if they are on the Your Organization Connections subtab. This displays the Develop Powerful Partnerships page.

The Develop Powerful Partnerships page lists each person's top five, their individual "bring" and "need" insight statements, access to AI-generated partnership insights (requires a Gallup Access subscription), and a Partnership Chart.
Note: On the Partnership Chart, the proximity of a theme's dots shows the similarity in rank order of the individuals' themes. The closer the dots, the more similar the rank order.

Export Multiple Individual's Strengths

Click Export CliftonStrengths at the top of the page on the Your Personal Connections subtab.

In the Export Strengths window, select the individuals whose strengths you want to export.

Create a Team and Team Grid
By establishing a team of connections, you can create a Team Grid to view and compare the collective strengths of the group. Teams you create here can consist of up to five existing connections, such as a group of friends, family members, or anyone with whom you have a common interest or shared relationship.
Note: With a Gallup Access subscription, the team size limit is 30 connections.

Click View Your Teams at the top of the page on the Your Personal Connections subtab to display the Your Teams page.

Create Team Grids option -
The Your Teams page lists existing teams and their members. Click a team to view their Team Grid, or select Edit from their More Options menu (⁝) to make changes to the team. To create a new team, click Create New Team on the upper-right corner of the page.

In the Team Name field, type a unique name to identify the team, and then click Continue.

The Add Team Members page lists your connections and their top five strengths. Select the individuals you want to include in the team, and then click Continue. If you want to include yourself in the team, select the corresponding option at the top of the page.
Note: A team can have a maximum of five members, including yourself (if you choose). With a Gallup Access subscription, the team size limit is 30 members.

Review the team's details on the Team Summary page, and then click Create Grid to view their Team Grid.

Team Summary page
The Team Grid lists the CliftonStrengths of each team member, allowing you to visualize the team’s individual and collective strengths and opportunities. It also groups strengths into CliftonStrengths domains to help you understand areas where the team will likely perform well and areas where it may need assistance. Use the options at the top of the page to determine which team members’ CliftonStrengths to display. Click View Insights to view AI-generated team insights specific to the team’s strengths (requires a Gallup Access subscription).
Note: The grid will display only the strengths that a team member has revealed. In other words, it will not display strengths 6-34 for individuals who have revealed only their top five strengths.
