Choose how respondents access the survey using email invitations or survey codes with a shared link and optional QR code.
When you create a survey, use the Distribute tab to choose how respondents will take it:
Email
Gallup will email each respondent a unique link to take the survey.
Survey Code
You will provide each respondent with a shared link (or QR code) and a unique code to take the survey. Select this option for respondents without an email address.

Survey Link
If you selected the Survey Code option, the survey will require a shared link for respondents to take it. Gallup Access will generate a link with random numbers and letters, but you can customize the link to something simpler and more readable if you want (e.g., survey.gallup.com/surveyname). You can also copy or download a QR code of the survey link.
- The link must be 50 characters or less (the portion after
survey.gallup.com/), and contain only numbers and letters. - The link is not case sensitive.
- Changing the link will generate a new QR code, and the old link and QR code will stop working.
- Changing the link of an active survey does not require relaunching the survey.
