Connections in Gallup Access
The Connections page in Gallup Access lets you build a personal network of individuals whose CliftonStrengths results you can view. Connections can include friends, family members, colleagues, clients or anyone you know—they are not limited to individuals in your organization.
To access Connections, select Menu in the upper-left corner of the page, then select CliftonStrengths > Connections.
Tabs on the Connections page
The Connections page can include up to two tabs:
Your Organization Connections
Your Personal Connections
What you see depends on your access:
If you belong to an organization portal and have permission to view others’ results, you may see both tabs.
If you do not belong to an organization portal in Gallup Access, you will only see the Your Personal Connections tab.
Note: Availability of the Your Organization Connections tab and the results you can view depends on the privileges your organization has assigned to your account.
Your Organization Connections
The Your Organization Connections tab displays CliftonStrengths results for individuals who redeemed an organization code, if you have access to view those results.
On this tab, you can:
Search for individuals
Use the search field at the top of the page to find individuals by name or email address.View an individual’s reports
For each individual, select the View Reports drop-down list next to their strengths to open and view any available CliftonStrengths reports.Export strengths or reports
Select Export Options on the upper-right corner of the page to export results to a file you can download and use outside Gallup Access.
Your Personal Connections
The Your Personal Connections tab is available to all individuals with access to Connections.
On this tab, you can see:
Individuals who chose to share their CliftonStrengths with you and accepted your request.
Individuals for whom you purchased a Personal code who have redeemed the code and completed the CliftonStrengths assessment.
The Your Connections tab has three views:
Connections
The Connections view lists individuals who are currently sharing their CliftonStrengths results with you.
From this view, you can:
Review each individual’s top themes.
Select the View Reports drop-down list next to an individual’s strengths to open and view their CliftonStrengths reports.
Connection Requests
The Connection Requests view shows pending requests from individuals who want to share their CliftonStrengths results with you.
From this view, you can:
Review incoming requests.
Accept or decline requests to control who appears in your Connections list.
Sent
The Sent view shows requests you have sent to others that they have not accepted yet.
From this view, you can:
See who you have invited to connect.
Track which individuals still need to respond to your request.
Actions on the Your Connections tab
Below the three views on the Your Personal Connections tab, you will see three action buttons:
Share CliftonStrengths
Select Share CliftonStrengths to send a request to share your strengths with someone else. When they accept, your CliftonStrengths will appear on their Your Connections page.
Export CliftonStrengths
Select Export CliftonStrengths to:
Select one or more individuals from your Connections list.
Export their CliftonStrengths results to a spreadsheet for offline use or sharing within your organization.
View Your Teams
Select View Your Teams to organize your connections into informal teams and view their collective strengths.
On the View Your Teams page, you can:
View existing teams you created from your connections.
Create new teams to group connections (for example, project groups, client groups or family teams).
View the combined CliftonStrengths of each team on a Team Grid.
Important: Connections teams are different from the Teams feature that is part of some Gallup Access subscriptions. Connections teams are personal to you and based on your Connections network, not your organization’s official team structure.
