Use one of the following methods to export CliftonStrengths results from Gallup Access, and then import the file into Cascade.
Note: Cascade is only available to administrators with a CliftonStrengths subscription.
Before you begin
Use the desktop version of Microsoft Excel. Cascade relies on Excel macros, which don’t work in Excel Online (the browser version).
Save export files as CSV. Cascade imports require the file to be saved in CSV format.
Availability of Cascade depends on the role(s) assigned to your account.
Option 1: Export from a team (recommended for team reporting)
From the Menu (upper-left corner), select CliftonStrengths > Teams.
Select the team you want to export.
Select Team Grid and ensure all 34 strengths are displayed.
Select Export Report from the right side of the screen, and then select Strengths Spreadsheet.
Create a team (if needed)
Use the Teams tutorial in Gallup Access to create and manage teams.
You can also create a team from a bundle in Code Management by selecting the More Options menu (⁝) next to the bundle name, and then selecting Create team.
Export a team directly to Cascade (if available)
From the Menu (upper-left corner), select CliftonStrengths > Teams.
Select the team you want to export.
Scroll down to Downloadable Tools, and then select Export to Cascade.
Option 2: Export from CliftonStrengths Connections (for a list of individuals)
Use this option if you want an export of individuals’ results from CliftonStrengths Connections.
From the Menu (upper-left corner), select CliftonStrengths > Connections.
Select Export CliftonStrengths at the top of the Your Connections page.
Select the individuals you want to export. To select everyone on the page, select the checkbox at the top-left of the list.
Select the green Export CliftonStrengths option at the bottom of the page.
Save the export file in CSV format.
Import the file into Cascade
Open your Cascade file in the desktop version of Excel.
Navigate to the Themes Table page in the Cascade file.
Select Import Themes at the top of the page.
Select the CSV file you want to import.
Follow the prompts to complete the import. Your information then appears in the Cascade file.
