What does certification include?
Becoming a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach gives you the skills, confidence, and credentials to coach anyone. Upon earning your certification, you’ll receive a Credly digital badge to display on email signatures, digital résumés, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and other platforms.
Certification requirements
Complete these four steps to earn your Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach certification:
- Complete an approved Gallup course: attend the Gallup Global Strengths Coach course, or attend both the Successful Strengths Coaching course and the Coaching Individuals, Managers and Teams course.
- Complete a certification application.
- Pass a strengths coaching certification exam testing your knowledge of coursework concepts.
- Complete six practice coaching sessions to demonstrate your strengths coaching abilities.
Recertification requirements
Your Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach designation is valid for three years. You’ll receive an email invitation to renew 90 days before your certification expiration date.
Recertification is completed online through the recertification portal and includes two steps:
- Pass a short 20-question recertification quiz.
- Renew the coach agreement.
Note: There is no cost for recertification, and the full process can be completed in two hours or less. After completing the requirements, you will receive an updated certificate.
