Is Gallup's Q¹² survey voluntary?

Yes, participation in Gallup's Q¹² survey is entirely voluntary. Before starting the survey, respondents are shown a Statement of Rights that clearly explains their participation is optional. Choosing not to respond will not result in any consequences.

Note: While employers may encourage participation and can request overall participation rates, Gallup does not disclose whether any individual employee has completed the survey.

How is my confidentiality protected?

Gallup keeps individual survey responses strictly confidential. A few ways this is upheld:

  • Survey links are private. Although your survey link is emailed through your company address, the survey itself runs entirely on Gallup's systems — your employer has no access to it.
  • Results are aggregated. Data is reported to employers only in aggregated form. Workgroup reports require a minimum number of responses before they're issued, and no report identifies individual respondents or their answers.
