Yes, you can edit a survey in Gallup Access even after it's launched. This includes updating respondents, reporting groups, and survey questions.
However, be cautious: making changes once responses have started—especially to survey questions—can affect data consistency. Typo fixes are usually fine, but larger edits may impact results.
Note: For surveys with more than 100 participants, we recommend consulting your Gallup representative before making significant changes.
How do I edit an active survey?
- Navigate to Menu > Surveys and click the name of the active survey you'd like to edit.
- Make your desired changes.
- Go to the Review tab and click Publish Changes to save your edits and apply them to respondents who haven't yet started the survey.
Important: Respondents who already completed the survey before your edits should not complete it again. Their original responses will remain on file, and resubmitting will create duplicate responses.
