How do I retract or remove distributed access codes?

Retracting a distributed access code prevents the recipient from using it and returns the code to your supply of Available Codes in Gallup Access. To begin, sign in to your Gallup Access account and select Code Management from the Menu in the upper-left corner.

How to Retract Codes

  1. Click the name of the code bundle that contains the code(s) you want to retract.
  2. On the bundle’s details page, go to the Distributed Codes tab.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the code(s) you'd like to retract.
  4. Select the grey Retract Codes button and confirm that you would like to retract the code.
  5. The code has now been retracted and an Available usage has been added back to the bundle for you to distribute.

Note: You cannot retract Completed codes—codes that have already been used by the recipient to complete the assessment.

For Multi-Use Codes

If you are retracting a multi-use code and the Distributed Codes tab is not available:

  1. Click on the Bundle from the main Code Management page.
  2. Click Deactivate Multi-Use Access Code.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
