How do I retract or remove distributed access codes?

Retracting a distributed access code prevents the recipient from using it and returns the code to your supply of Available Codes in Gallup Access.

To begin, sign in to your Gallup Access account and select Code Management from the Menu in the upper-left corner.

How to Retract Codes

You can locate and retract a code from any of the following pages in Code Management:

  • Bundles page - Click into the bundle that contains the code, then locate it there.
  • Codes page - Locate the code directly.
  • Individuals page - Locate the individual the code was distributed to.
  1. On whichever page you choose, select the checkbox to the left of the code's record. The Retract Codes button will appear.
  2. Click Retract Codes and confirm that you'd like to retract the code.
  3. The code has now been retracted, and an Available usage has been added back to the bundle for you to distribute.

Note: You cannot retract Completed codes - codes that have already been used by the recipient to complete the assessment.
