Organizations with a CliftonStrengths subscription to Gallup Access can distribute access codes in two formats: single-use and multi-use.
- Single-use codes are unique to each individual and can be used only one time. Use single-use codes when you want to track participation by person.
- Multi-use codes can be redeemed multiple times and work well when you want to distribute one code to a group. This simplifies distribution when you do not need to track individuals at the point of distribution.
Already purchased single-use codes but need multi-use instead?
You cannot convert individual codes directly from single-use to multi-use. However, if the codes have not yet been redeemed, you can move them out of their current bundle and into a new Multi-Use bundle using the Transfer Codes option described below.
Create a multi-use access code bundle
When you purchase access codes, Gallup Access places them in a Single-Use Code bundle by default. If you have a CliftonStrengths subscription to Gallup Access, you can create a Multi-Use bundle by following these steps.
- Sign in to Gallup Access, and from the Menu in the upper-left corner, select Code Management. You'll land on the Bundles page. In the top right corner, click Create Bundle.
- On the first page of the Create Bundle flow, select the Category and Code Type you want to include in the new bundle, then click Next. The options you see depend on the code types available in your account (for example, Top 5 Strengths, CliftonStrengths 34, or CliftonStrengths for Managers).
- Select how you want to add codes to the new bundle: Transfer Codes or Purchase Codes.
- If you select Transfer Codes, select the existing bundle you want to transfer unused access codes from, enter the number of codes to move into your new bundle, and click Next. Use this option if you purchased or uploaded codes as single-use but need them as multi-use — as long as the codes are unused and the source bundle has the same code type.
- If you select Purchase Codes, you'll either be taken to the Gallup Store to select and purchase codes, or — if your account is part of an organization subscription with the required roles and permissions and this feature is enabled — to a window where you can generate codes directly in Code Management and be billed monthly.
- On the Bundle Details page, enter a name and description for the bundle. For Code Usage Type, select Multi-Use. If you want, check the box to have Gallup email you when the remaining code uses in the bundle decrease to a specific amount. Click Next.
- On the next page, you can add other bundle owners (optional) or click Next to continue. Review the bundle details and confirm they are correct. To make changes, click Back. When everything looks correct, click Create Bundle.
Share a multi-use access code
After you create your Multi-Use bundle, open the bundle details page. Copy the Invite URL and share it with the individuals or groups you want to give access to.
